18 Sep Class Dojo is here for KS2!
Permission needed for your child’s Class Dojo account
Dear Parents/Carers of children in year 3, 4, 5 and 6 ,
We hope that this message finds you and your family safe and well at this time.
During this challenging time the school is still constantly seeking ways of improving. We appreciate that due to restrictions to keep us all safe, communications with school staff have had to change and you may have questions or need reassurance. As a school we also have information and updates which we wish to share with you.
You may be aware that we have been using ClassDojo with the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes to promote school and home communications and positive learning and social behaviours.
We are very excited to announce that we would now like to use ClassDojo to communicate between class and home for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
It’s an easy way for teachers and parents to share, see and celebrate what your child is working on and to get in touch with school. It’s an app which you can download on your phone, tablet or use on your PC.
With their student account, your child will be able to share what they’re learning through photos, videos, and journal entries on their own digital portfolio. This portfolio can ONLY be seen by your child, you, and teacher, and the teacher has to approve all posts. Once you have signed up you can add another parent/carer or adult to the account too.
Your child will also be able to view their feedback from class and customize their ClassDojo character.
Find out more about why we’re excited to use ClassDojo student accounts for digital portfolios, and how it is safe and simple for everyone:
Privacy Policy
What happens now?
Yes please, I give permission for you to create a student account for my child and allow my child to use ClassDojo in the classroom and for ClassDojo to collect, use and disclose the information about my child as set forth in the ClassDojo Privacy Policy. I understand that all communications and exchanges must remain polite and respectful towards staff.
Your child’s portfolio is private to you, however the school may share images or videos of groups, class, whole school events with all parents (just like putting an image on the school newsletter). This would only be in line with our photo consent policy for the school website. Please do let us know if you do not want your child to be included in any whole school Class Dojo community images/videos.
If you are happy for you and your child to have a Class Dojo account then please click the emailed invitation and use your unique parent code to set up and activate your account.
Once you have set up your account you will receive a welcome message from the classteacher.
No thanks, if you do not want to have a parent Class Dojo account please do send us an email (at the parent email) or telephone us on 0207 359 1870 to let us know.
We look forward to hearing from you very soon and get your child’s exciting ClassDojo journey started!
