We did all things Christmas in reception the last week. We went to the library to watch two performances which we got to join in on. We made loads of snowflakes and practiced our cutting by trimming Santa’s beard, we made lovely Christmas cards for our families and we made some salt dough decorations (they’re not biscuits 😂). To wrap it all up, we sent of our Christmas wish list to Santa in the special post box going to the North Pole.
What a treat it’s been to finish off another term with these crazy and wonderful reception students! We’ve had a blast and looking forward to more learning, growing and exploring next term.
Have a safe and happy Christmas everyone! See you in the new year! 🎅

Thanks to everyone for coming to our Christmas play. The children rehearsed nearly every day and it took a lot of courage for a lot of them to partake.
In between plays we have been working hard on beginning to spell some simple words using our phonics, sorting and counting in maths and making snowflakes to practice our cutting skills!
Have a lovely weekend.

Reception Miss GrahamHey everyone!
One of our lovely parents has kindly donated this Christmas jumper for anyone who might be in need of one during the happy season. It is a size 6-8 (runs small). I will pop it into the lost property in the office if you would like it!
Please remember to bring in your Christmas play outfits before Wednesday - the big day!

We started off our week with a visit to St Marys church to discuss advent and what it means. They showed us so many cool things about advent and then let us decorate their Christmas tree.
We’ve been really working hard on our reading by blending all the Phase 2 sounds we know.,
In maths we are working on the number five and all the different ways we can make it.
In RE we’ve been retelling the nativity scene.
We’ve also been so busy with our Christmas fair, Christmas movie and rehearsals for our play next week.
Please remember to bring in your costume so we can do a full dress rehearsal on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!
