Vision and Values

At St Mary’s CofE Primary, our school vision guides everything we do and helps every child feel known, supported and inspired. We believe that learning should be purposeful, joyful and rooted in Christian values, so children can grow with confidence and develop a strong sense of belonging. Our vision is built around a clear commitment to high expectations, respectful relationships and a safe, welcoming environment for all families.

We nurture every child’s talents and wellbeing, recognising that each learner is unique and deserves encouragement to flourish. We aspire to help children aim high, develop resilience and build the skills they need for future success. Through a broad, balanced curriculum and carefully planned learning opportunities, we help children make progress academically and personally, supported by adults who take time to understand their individual needs.

Our values of compassion and empower support children to be kind, courageous and responsible members of the community. We teach children to show compassion in how they treat others, to listen and care, and to respect difference. By empowering pupils to lead, reflect and contribute, we prepare them to thrive at St Mary’s and beyond, with hearts and minds ready for the opportunities ahead.
